In the wintertime, we take time to enjoy the little things around the farm. We check in with our animals every day to make sure everyone has plenty to eat, dry bedding and flowing, unfrozen water.  We take field walks, and watch as many of fall plantings lay beneath the snow, dormant, holding soils in place against winter winds.  We monitor farm buildings (hoop houses, greenhouses, coolers, barns) and machinery (tractors, farm vehicles) to make sure things are faring well amidst the freezing and thawing of snow.  We play on the farm sledding hill with neighbors and friends.  

We enjoy being outside in the winter weather as the sights, sounds and smells allow us a different vantage point of this beautiful place we call home.  We hope you're able to relax and enjoy the little things this season.  Happy Holidays from all of us here on the farm!
